Each of you is familiar with the concept of a symphony orchestra. However, before he was fully established in the works of the Viennese classics, there was not even a clear distinction between him and the musical ensemble. Only when music ceased to exist only in order to serve life, when they began to create compositions intended for a special occasion, celebration or concert, a symphony orchestra was formed. Researchers attribute this to the emergence of instrumental genres: opera, ballet, oratorio, and symphony. The prerequisites for such a distinction were outlined in the 16th century, and by the 18th century the formation of a classical or small symphony orchestra was completed.
The modern composition of the orchestra - It is a large organism woven from sounds and musical instruments. Therefore, its possibilities are almost endless. It has a whole range of shades - from a barely perceptible rustling of foliage, to powerful peals of thunder. In all this process, a large role is played first of all by the amazing timbre combination and, of course, rich dynamic hues. It is enough to recall the “Magic Lake” by A. Lyadov, which is fascinating with its sound-visualization: barely audible rustle of foliage and splashes of water. No other orchestra would have handled this task so subtly and sensitively. On the contrary, in the grand finale of the "Poem of Ecstasy" A. Scriabin, the sound reaches unprecedented power and scope. The musical fabric is iridescent, expressing unprecedented delight and a storm of emotions. We can recall the sound of D. Shostakovich’s second part 11 of the symphony, in which the terrible historical events of January 9 are accurately shown. The purely timbre sound of the symphony orchestra achieves the intensity of emotions, the cries of the crowd and the volleys of weapons, then an ominous silence ensues and the barely audible singing of the choir is heard. At concerts often viewers even rise from their seats to see the "invisible" choir.
In addition to concerts of symphonic music, where all sorts of instrumental genres are performed, one can hear the sound of this orchestra and in the opera, he accompanies all the action, following the events on the stage, sometimes revealing hidden emotions of the characters and exposing the character. Cinema and cartoons, two more areas where the sound of a symphony orchestra is widely used, it suffices to recall Ratatouille, Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek, the list goes on and on.
This is all clear, these genres are somehow connected with music, but what about other areas? The sound of a symphony orchestra can also be heard in video games. Moreover, musicians and fans of games appreciate this music so much that the soundtracks for them are even sold separately on CDs or performed in concert programs. You can cite as an example the composition of Nobuo Weematsu for the popular Final Fantasy IV, which were released separately. Continuing the computer theme, it is worth mentioning separately developing musical programs that appeared on the world market in 2004. For example, "We play with the music of P. Since its inception, the symphony orchestra has undergone many changes, but one thing remains the same - this is its powerful and sensitive emotional impact on the listeners, in whatever genre or form you hear it.
